Our tour will begin with a day of getting acquainted with our fellow
travelers and learning of our plans for the next few days. We travel
through the Carolinas arriving at the “Grand Strand” Myrtle Beach
and check into our oceanfront hotel for a three night stay. Our show is
an adventure at Dolly Parton’s Pirates Voyage—be delighted by heartstopping
high diving, astounding gymnastics, amazing live animals and
hilarious comedy – all while enjoying a four-course feast.

You may wish to enjoy a walk on the beach or just take in the great
view from your oceanfront room. Enjoy a leisurely morning to rest
after yesterday. This afternoon we have reserved seats at The Legends
in Concert’s show in their state-of-the-art theater located at Broadway
at the Beach, the Carolina coast’s premiere shopping, dining and entertainment
destination. Celebrity look-a-likes perform the songs and
dances of legendary stars such as Elvis Presley, Rod Stewart, Michael
Jackson and Dolly Parton, to name just a few. We enjoy a delicious
dinner included this evening at Chestnut Hill. After dinner, we will see
the award-winning Carolina Opry— two hours of high-energy music,
comedy and dance in a luxurious theater complete with state-of-theart
lighting, sound and special effects. Highly acclaimed by The New
York Times, USA Today, NBC Nightly News, and CNN, The Carolina
Opry is the only show to be named “Top Attraction in Myrtle Beach”
by CNBC. Featuring a cast of over 35 of the nation’s most talented
performers, this variety show spans all genres to bring you the best hits
of yesterday, today and everything in between! Each season you can
expect new songs, fresh elaborate costumes, and sidesplitting comedy to
delight even those guests who have seen the show many times over.

It’s time to get down to some serious shopping at the many national retail
shops and unique boutiques as you stroll around the outdoor setting,
exploring fun and fashion Barefoot style at Barefoot Landing in North
Myrtle Beach. Those who wish can also shop at the Tanger Outlets of
North Myrtle Beach before returning to our hotel to freshen up before
the evening activities. Dinner is included this evening in another of
Myrtle Beach’s fne restaurants. This evening we will see the Alabama
Theatre’s production of “ONE” The Show. ONE brings audiences an
incredible entertainment experience featuring everything from Country,
Gospel, Broadway, Pop and Rock to plenty of hilarious family comedy.
The talented entertainers, extravagant costumes and dazzling scenery
will make you feel like you are in New York or Las Vegas

We depart Myrtle Beach for our return trip stopping in Charlotte, North
Carolina, to visit the Billy Graham Library. Designed to refect Billy Gra- ham’s journey from a humble farm boy to an international ambassador of
God’s love, the barn-shaped building is situated on 20 landscaped acres,
only miles from where Billy Graham grew up in Charlotte, N.C. When
he was nine years old, his family moved into a two-story brick Colonial
house on Park Road, on the outskirts of Charlotte. That home—including
many original elements—has been reconstructed on the campus of the
Billy Graham Library, just four miles from the old Graham homestead.
Tour the home which has been meticulously restored using 80 percent
of the original materials. The Graham family home place will give you
an intimate look at Billy Graham’s roots. Ruth’s Attic is named to honor
Ruth Bell Graham’s lifelong love of the printed page. The bookstore
offers rare and special editions written by Billy and Ruth Graham as
well as an extensive selection of Bibles, unique gifts, collectibles and
home décor, musical CDs and more. Overnight in the Charlotte area.
In the evening we will see the Carole King musical “Beautiful” at the
Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. “Beautiful” tells the inspiring true
story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom. Featuring a stunning array
of beloved songs written by Gerry Goffn/Carole King and Barry Mann/
Cynthia Well, including “I feel the Earth Move,” “One Fine Day,” “You
Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman,” “You’ve Got a Friend” and the
title sone, “BEAUTIFUL”.

Today we discover Andy Griffth’s hometown, Mt. Airy, NC, the inspira- tion for “Mayberry.” We embark on a guided tour which includes Floyd’s
City Barber Shop, Andy’s boyhood home, granite buildings, the world’s
largest open faced granite quarry, and replicas of Wally’s Service Station
and the Mayberry Jail and Courthouse. We’ll also see the Andy and Opie
statue plus a collection of memorabilia from The Andy Griffth Show at
the Andy Griffth Museum. We return to Knoxville this afternoon.
