We depart Knoxville this morning traveling through Nashville on our way to Memphis for a three night stay at one of Memphis leading hotels. We will take you downtown to the Big Cypress Lodge for dinner on your own and to enjoy the holiday decorations.
The Home of the Blues comes alive on our MOJO city tour this morning as a local guide boards our motorcoach. All of the guides on this tour are professional Beale Street musicians who play and sing selections from the city’s rich musical heritage, while entertaining you with comedy, history, and behind-the-scenes stories of your favorite Memphis personalities. We have a guided tour of Sun Studio, the studio that launched the careers of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, BB King, Howlin’ Wolf, Roy Orbison…the list goes on and on! Get your photo taken at the microphone where Elvis recorded or next to Jerry Lee’s piano! In the afternoon we visit the famous Peabody Hotel for the “March of The Ducks” and see the beautiful Christmas decorations at the Peabody.
Today we visit the legendary Graceland mansion. Today we depart Memphis traveling to Nashville, TN arriving for lunch with time to visit the Gaylord Opryland Hotel to see the mag-nificent Christmas decorations in their beautiful conservatories andthroughout the hotel. We continue to Knoxville in the late afternoon ending our delightful tour of Graceland, Memphis and Gaylord Opryland Hotel at Christmas.
