We depart Knoxville this morning traveling to Asheville for lunch (included) on the grounds of Biltmore. Antler Village connects the estate’s present and past, providing a relaxing place for dining, shopping, historical exhibits, and new ways to experience Biltmore’s hospitality. Enjoy live entertainment on the Village Green, a stroll through the historic Farm, and get ready to explore an 8,000-acre backyard at the Outdoor Adventure Center. We will check into our hotel to freshen up before our evening of planned activities. Dinner is included at Deerpark Restaurant before our evening Candlelight Tour. Firelight and candlelight fill the house with a warm glow. Get into the holiday spirit with choirs singing European carols, vintage ballroom dancers, and dramatic Christmas readings. The Front Lawn of Biltmore House sets the scene with a sparkling holiday illumination of evergreens bathed in thousands of twinkling lights.
After a leisurely morning at our hotel, we visit the beautiful Grove Park Inn for a delightful holiday buffet with all the trimings in their Blue Ridge Dining Room. Live holiday music, decorations, the National Gingerbread House Competitiondisplay and a festive historic ambiance (think roaring fires and carols) combineto make a wonderful family Christmas. The Grove Park Inn, once billed as the”finest resort hotel in the world”, was built in 1913 out of native boulders andset in the scenic splendor of the Blue Ridge Mountains. After time for shopping and browsing at the Inn we depart Asheville for home.
