“A Country Christmas” transforms the Opryland Hotel into an oldfashioned
Christmas celebration with all the color, warmth and spirit of
Christmases past. Come rejoice with us! Thousands of poinsettias will
greet you in the colors of the season. Two acres of Christmas nostalgia
wait in the Conservatory. The days and nights brim with wondrous
holiday festivities. We will depart from Knoxville traveling directly
to Nashville. In the afternoon we will check into the Opryland Hotel
where accommodations await us for the next two nights. The hotel
and grounds will be decorated with more than two million twinkling
lights, 15,000 poinsettias, and acres of stunning Christmas decorations.
We’ll have free time to stroll along the winding walkways of the lushly
landscaped conservatories and waterfalls in the Cascades section. In
the evening we will enjoy a delicious dinner and see a live performance
by a country music superstar centered around Christmas.

This morning you are free to explore the beautiful indoor gardens. Lunch
is a treat this afternoon as we cruise the Cumberland River aboard the
beautiful General Jackson Showboat. Along with the Southern-style
lunch buffet, we will enjoy the comedy and music of Steve Hall & the
Shotgun Red Show. Next, we experience the miracle of “ICE”! “ICE”
is two million pounds of colorful, handcarved ice sculptures & slides
all carved by 40 artisans from Harbin, China. Tonight we enjoy another
wonderful holiday musical production.

This morning will be free for last minute shopping in the Gaylord Opryland
Hotel or just relaxing and taking in the beautiful decorations throughout
the hotel. Take a stroll through the magnifcent glass atriums beautifully
decorated for the holidays. We depart the hotel by mid-morning for
shopping and lunch at Opry Mills before departing for home. This is
