We board our deluxe motorcoach traveling northeast through East Tennessee as our journey continues through the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia to Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, for the night.

After a short drive to Lancaster we learn the traditions, lifestyle and beliefsof the fascinating Amish surrounded by fertile fields and early Americancharm. They are often referred to as “Plain People”. Plain people are Christian groups characterized by separation from the world and by simpleliving, including plain dressing with clothing that clearly identifies thewearer’s gender. After our tour we enjoy lunch on your own and shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village. Dinner is included this evening either before or after seeing Queen Esther at the Sight and Sound Theater. Set in the opulent yet perilous Persian Empire, QUEEN ESTHER is a captivating tale of beauty and bravery. Esther’s ordinary life changed forever when she was taken through the palace doors, entering a new world of royaltyand risk. This morning we travel to Gettysburg, the scene of one of the most decisive battles of the Civil War. Tour the Battlefield and learn about the largest battle ever fought on American soil. We visit the Gettysburg Visitors Center and Cyclorama, a 360 degree painting depicting the Battle of Gettysburg. After lunch at Hickory Bridge Restaurant we will tour President Eisenhower’s retirement home and farm, where Mamie continued to live until her death in 1981. We continue to Winchester, Virginia for our last night.

After breakfast at our hotel this morning, we depart Winchester traveling to Salem, Virginia for lunch. Sight & Sound takes theater to a whole new level.
